Group Travel

Looking for group accommodations in a stunning wilderness setting?

Bring your wellness retreat, tour group, corporate retreat, or family gathering to Shearwater Cove for an unforgettable trip in Alaska’s Kenai Fjords. Disconnect from the modern world and relax, rejuvenate, and reconnect with each other and with nature. Planning group activities is effortless with sea kayaking, hiking, and communal spaces all available at Shearwater Cove. We also partner with local companies to offer boat tour add-ons of Kenai Fjords National Park, and can coordinate speakers and special activities catered specifically to your group’s interests.

New communal spaces for 2025!

Introducing two new communal spaces that define Shearwater Cove as an ideal venue for group travel: an indoor, multi-purpose communal space, and a spacious kitchen for preparing group meals. In addition to our existing waterfront pavilion, these new communal spaces enable us to cater specifically to group travel. New construction will be complete by May 2025.

Food options for group travel

While Shearwater Cove does not have a restaurant on-site, we do offer several options for group meal preparation. Whether you want to keep costs down and prepare your own group meals, or whether you want to be totally hands-off with food - we’ve got you covered.

Option A: Shop for your own groceries and prepare your own meals in our spacious group kitchen. No additional cost.

Option B: Work with us to build a menu for your group. We do the shopping and have everything conveniently packaged and labeled for you at check-in. You prepare the meals in our group kitchen. Cost of food plus $35 per person, per night.

Option C: Work with a local chef to plan and prepare your meals for the duration of your stay. Starting at $500/day for chef services, plus cost of food and chef’s travel/accommodation expense.

Our multi-purpose communal space is located next to the group kitchen for convenient serving and dining!
